Energy consumption drops sharply in Shanxi

In the past decade, Shanxi province in North China has reported an energy consumption drop of 33.2 percent per unit of GDP – saving energy generated by 110 million metric tons of standard coal.

Over the first half of 2022, the energy consumption per unit of GDP there fell by 3.6 percent year-on-year and the province's green efforts are widely said to have been recognized nationally.

To reduce its energy consumption, Shanxi has controlled its total energy consumption volumes in a flexible way and carried out an energy-saving censorship.

What's more, it has further optimized its energy-saving review procedures and held training sessions to offer guidance for business promotion activities.
