The mountain bicycle race of the 16th Games of Shanxi Province took place in Datong city on July 25-26.

The competition was divided into two divisions A and B – representing different age groups, each with Olympic cross-country and team races. 

Division A included athletes born between Jan 1, 2004, and Dec 31, 2005, while Division B was for those born between Jan 1, 2006, and Dec 31, 2007. 

The races took place at Liangmatai Cycling Theme Park, which sits at an altitude of 1,493 meters. 

The park features two national-level professional mountain biking tracks, three amateur tracks, and one mini-bicycle track. 

The racetrack is approximately 4.72 kilometers long, with a range in altitude of about 280 meters. It includes various challenging sections such as bends, uphill and downhill segments, forest trails, asphalt roads, and dirt paths. 

Representing the cities of Taiyuan, Datong, Changzhi, Jinzhong, and Linfen, 63 athletes competed fiercely for victory.
