North China's Shanxi province recently added three national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters, according to a list announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Jan 25.

National nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters refer to districts, complexes, tourist attractions, and provincial-level and above cultural industry demonstration parks with existing favorable development conditions, high concentrations of cultural and tourism businesses, and active nighttime consumption markets.

The honored areas from Shanxi are the Yangquan Memory·1947 Cultural Park in Yangquan city, Dreaming Back to Changping Night City in Jincheng city, and Lanshangen·Yuncheng Impressions Pedestrian Street in Yuncheng city.

The Yangquan Memory·1947 Cultural Park is situated in what used to be the city's water pump factory. Leveraging industrial heritage resources, the park has introduced diverse catering and entertainment formats that have enriched the nighttime cultural and tourism scenes.

Dreaming Back to Changping Night City offers a rich array of evening entertainment activities. The large-scale live-action drama "Dreaming Back to Changping" utilizes modern lighting, stage design, and other technological means to recreate the grandeur of Changping – the ancient name of Gaoping, a county-level city in Jincheng.

Lanshangen·Yuncheng Impressions Pedestrian Street provides tourist experiences that integrate culture, tourism, agriculture, and commerce. It is a one-stop destination for food, shopping, and entertainment.

Currently, Shanxi boasts eight national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters in total.
