This year's government work report emphasizes promoting new urbanization and regional coordinated development, with a strong focus on rural affairs to advance comprehensive rural vitalization.

"The focus on rural affairs in the government work report reflects the central government's concern for rural areas and farmers," said Guo Fenglian, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and Party secretary of Dazhai village, Xiyang county.

Reflecting on practices in Dazhai village and Shanxi's current development status, Guo suggested supporting local initiatives through inter-village cooperation and contiguous development. This aims to integrate scattered resources, encourage village collectives to invest their resources as shares, and revitalize assets to develop the rural economy and increase farmers' wealth.

Ma Jinlian, an NPC deputy and Party secretary of Xiaocheng village, Liulin county, emphasized that the key to rural vitalization lies in industrial vitalization, which hinges on developing the rural collective economy.

Ma suggested introducing more favorable policies to provide guidance funds and talent support for developing and expanding the new rural collective economy. This would help form diverse industrial development patterns, promote the progress of rural infrastructure, culture, education, and healthcare, and create more employment opportunities and income channels for farmers.

Wang Juanling, an NPC deputy and vice-president of the Shanxi Association for Science and Technology, proposed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs further implement the strategic cooperation framework agreement on organic dryland farming signed with Shanxi province, providing comprehensive support in terms of projects, platforms, and policies.
