The Shanxi exhibition area showcased diverse specialty agricultural products from across the province at the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) on April 16. Renowned for their rich variety, green and healthy attributes, and robust quality, these products became a highlight of the event.

The agricultural products section featured local brand products such as Qinzhou yellow millet, Xixian Yulu fragrant pears, Pingyao beef, and innovative categories like functional foods and organic grains. These products reflect Shanxi's unique resource endowments and convey the quality assurance of "Shanxi Good Grain" through standardized production and branded operations to global consumers.

With their crisp and juicy texture, Xixian Yulu fragrant pears and Yuncheng Fuji apples became "star items" at the tasting sessions. In addition, Lyuliang red dates were also highly favored for their plumpness and rich nutrients.

Making his debut at the expo, "star farmer" Wang Wanbao introduced his premium apple brand. "The CICPE is not just a sales platform but also a window to learn international standards and connect with the global market," said Wang.

Zhao Shiyong, head of Shanxi Xianguoyuan Biotechnology Co, noted, "Sea buckthorn is rich in vitamins, flavonoids, and over 200 other nutrients. We hope to use the expo platform to make Shanxi agricultural brands more popular, and promote the products to broader markets."

Shanxi's specialty agricultural products showcased the new agricultural landscape of "Transforming Shanxi" at the expo. With its 5,000-year farming civilization, the province's opening-up is helping Shanxi products go global.
