The recently released inaugural "National County-Level Driving Tour Research Report 2025" has unveiled the list of "2025 National Model Counties for Driving Tours", with Shanxi province's Lingchuan and Huguan counties making the list.

The selected model counties boast several significant advantages: efficient and convenient transportation networks, a blend of natural and cultural attractions, and excellent supporting services in accommodation, dining, and entertainment.

In recent years, Lingchuan has implemented the "Transportation+" development strategy, with Taihang No 1 Tourist Highway as its central axis. This has resulted in a comprehensive tourism transportation network that integrates urban and rural areas and blends roads with scenic views. 

Lingchuan has also completed 150 kilometers of hiking and cycling trails, with seven service stations and over 40 rest points along the way. The county has built the world's first 300-meter electronic music road, where tourists can experience a unique musical charm as they drive.

Huguan, using its unique natural landscapes and rich historical and cultural heritage, has actively promoted the driving tour industry. In terms of road transportation network construction, Huguan has made significant efforts to ensure roads are wide, smooth, and well-marked, providing safe and convenient conditions for driving tourists. 

The county has constructed numerous intelligent parking lots at scenic spots, effectively addressing the parking difficulties faced by visitors. In tourism product innovation and development, Huguan has also launched several distinctive tour routes.
