Shanxi province's Department of Commerce organized five cultural enterprises to participate in the 89th Florence International Handicrafts Fair in Italy from April 25 to May 1. 

The Shanxi exhibitors welcomed over 44,000 visitors and engaged in discussions with more than 540 potential clients, achieving nearly 1 million euros ($1.12 million) in intended transactions.

SXCT International Travel Co, one of Shanxi's exhibitors, showcased cultural and creative products that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design. These products showcase the province's rich historical heritage and tourism routes, which connect famous historical sites and bring cultural treasures to the global community.

Shanxi Gongmei Traditional Culture and Art Co exhibited creative products featuring Shanxi's unique hand embroidery and plant-dyed, blue-printed fabrics. These items highlighted the "timeless oriental beauty" of Shanxi's traditional handicrafts to overseas visitors.

An official from the Department of Commerce highlighted that this participation demonstrated Shanxi's high-quality cultural products, distinctive cultural industries, and unique cultural charm, enhancing the global recognition of Shanxi's culture and services and facilitating "going global" activities.
