The Shanxi Sports Science Research Institute has signed an on-site agreement and became a core member of the Olympic Key Technologies Innovation Consortium, which was recently established in Beijing.

This marks the integration of Shanxi's sports science capabilities into the national Olympic preparation system. This collaboration injects new momentum into preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The consortium, led by the China Institute of Sport Science, focuses on key technological challenges in Olympic preparations. It aims to overcome the bottleneck of domestic production of high-end sports equipment and enhance China's competitiveness in sports technology innovation.

As a leading force in Shanxi's sports research sector, the institute has long been dedicated to sports training monitoring, physical rehabilitation, and sports medicine. It has also established a professional team system that encompasses research and medical support. With its new role in the consortium, the institute will focus on projects like the domestic production of competitive sports equipment and the development of high-end intelligent devices.

The institute's director emphasized that it will utilize the consortium platform's technical advantages in sports biomechanics analysis and athlete functional monitoring. It will also introduce cutting-edge research concepts to accelerate the application of scientific achievements. 

The institute will provide technological support for Olympic preparations, contributing Shanxi's expertise to enhance the performance of Chinese athletes and driving the mutual empowerment of sports technology and competitive strength.
