The first "gold medal showdown" of the Asian Shotgun Cup 2025 kicked off on June 4 at the Linfen Shooting Sports Base in Shanxi province.

The Chinese team delivered an outstanding performance, sweeping all three gold medals in the junior double trap events of the day, showcasing their formidable competitive strength.

In the morning's junior women's double trap qualification round, Chinese shooters Zhang Mingye, Bi Aoyu, and Gong Xiaolei demonstrated remarkable consistency, securing the top three spots. According to the rules, the team event rankings are based on the combined scores of the three participants in the qualification round. The Chinese team clinched the junior women's team championship with an overwhelming advantage.

The afternoon saw the junior women's double trap individual event, featuring six competitors, with three each from China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Chinese shooter Gong Xiaolei emerged victorious, securing the gold medal with a leading score. The junior men's double trap individual final was fiercely contested, with Chinese shooter Jin Shengwu finally triumphing.

The Chinese team continued its winning streak on June 5, with three gold medals awarded, including gold in the junior mixed team, women's double trap team, and women's double trap individual events.
