Shanxi province has issued the "Opinions on Strengthening Legal Services for Overseas Chinese in the New Era", aiming to enhance the quality and efficiency of services through measures such as improving service networks, optimizing notary services, and strengthening dispute mediation.

The "Opinions" propose establishing a "30-minute public legal service circle" to enhance legal services for overseas Chinese tailored to their specific needs. Teams of lawyers will be organized to provide legal lectures and policy interpretations for overseas Chinese enterprises, assisting companies in operating in compliance with regulations.

Shanxi plans to establish a remote mediation mechanism to broaden avenues for safeguarding the rights of overseas Chinese. To expand international services, law firms based in Shanxi will actively reach out and establish overseas legal service platforms to provide legal consultations in host countries.

The "Opinions" also encourage returned overseas Chinese and their families to participate in legal professional examinations and public services. The involvement of overseas Chinese as mediators and arbitrators will consolidate efforts to protect the rights of overseas Chinese.

The release of the "Opinions" signifies that Shanxi's legal services for overseas Chinese are moving towards systematization and specialization, providing solid legal guarantees for the settlement and development of overseas Chinese and their enterprises.
