Shanxi foreign trade enterprises expand domestic market

Amid complex and ever-changing trade environments, Shanxi province is providing comprehensive support for the transformation and development of foreign trade enterprises, aiming to assist them in expanding the domestic market.

From April 23 to 25, Shanxi organized 37 key food enterprises from the province to participate in the 2nd China·Hangzhou Food E-commerce Expo. The event featured an e-commerce platform and hosted specialized resource matching sessions, taking practical measures to accelerate the expansion of the domestic market.

In July, the province organized a promotional event for foreign trade premium products, showcasing 23 enterprises and their offerings. A dedicated area for premium products was established, focusing on key foreign trade goods such as food and beverages, with enterprises arranged in groups to carry out promotional sales activities.

The companies have also begun to explore online domestic sales models. Shanxi Jinli Candy Co successfully transitioned from exports to domestic sales by utilizing community group purchases and live-streaming e-commerce. Tuyuan Industrial Co tapped into influencer marketing and traditional e-commerce on Douyin and Taobao, with its products attracting attention from live-streaming agencies, leading to cooperation intentions with several e-commerce platforms.

Shanxi will continue to enhance the "Policy + Platform + Service" matrix, facilitating the comprehensive upgrade of foreign trade enterprises in product design, brand management, and channel development, and introducing more high-quality export "Shanxi products" to the domestic market.
