Seventy-six enterprises in Shanxi province have been designated as "Provincial Advanced Smart Factories for 2025", marking a crucial step in the transition of the province's manufacturing industry toward high-end and intelligent.

The selected companies cover key sectors such as steel, energy, equipment manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and new materials. Among them, 17 companies on the list are from Yuncheng, highlighting a robust industrial cluster effect in the city.

Smart factories are essential for enhancing competitiveness and achieving sustainable development in the manufacturing sector. This evaluation aims to drive the deep integration of new-generation information technology with manufacturing by selecting qualified enterprises and establishing them as industry benchmarks.

Shanxi plans to enhance policy support for these enterprises, fund them in technical upgrades and digital transformation, and encourage them to explore new "smart+" business models and expand applications of 5G, artificial intelligence, and the industrial internet.

The province will also establish exchange platforms to promote technology and experience sharing, helping Shanxi's smart manufacturing sector gain a competitive edge in the national arena.
