The "Tour Shanxi with Wukong" cultural exhibition, organized by the Shanxi Provincial Culture and Tourism Department, has opened at the White Pagoda Academy in Xicheng district, Beijing.

Running until Aug 31, this cultural feast showcases Shanxi's ancient architecture, sculptures, and murals from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, which inspired the popular game Black Myth: Wukong, to the residents of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.

The exhibition also features the integration of modern technology and traditional culture. Next to the wooden model of Nanchan Temple, VR interactive equipment is available. Visitors can don VR glasses and feel as though they've traveled back in time, immersing themselves in the charm of China's oldest surviving wooden structures.

A variety of Shanxi-themed cultural and creative products are provided throughout the exhibition, where visitors can collect unique stamps of the "Tour Shanxi with Wukong" to enhance their cultural journey.

Every weekend, the exhibition will host intangible cultural heritage (ICH) interactive activities, inviting masters of traditional crafts like paper cutting and dough modeling to guide visitors in hands-on experiences, allowing them to experience the unique charm of Shanxi's ICH.
