A "UK Enterprises Touring Shanxi" exchange forum was held on Aug 25 in Taiyuan, by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shanxi Province, the Shanxi Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, and the British Embassy in China. Government representatives and business leaders from both sides engaged in discussions on industrial cooperation and cultural tourism exchanges.
There are currently 74 British-invested enterprises operating in Shanxi, spanning manufacturing, tech services, and energy. A sculpture exhibition co-hosted earlier this year by Shanxi Museum and National Museums Liverpool was highlighted as a successful example of cultural collaboration.
The event aimed to deepen cooperation in energy transformation, high-end manufacturing, and modern agriculture. A delegation of UK innovative enterprises, led by Counsellor He Rui from the British Embassy, also conducted field visits in the chemical and advanced manufacturing sectors.
