Datong holds 3rd professional town investment and trade expo
The launch ceremony of the 3rd Shanxi Characteristic Professional Town Investment and Trade Expo was held in Datong, Shanxi province, on Sept 17. Lasting from Sept 17 to 21, the expo will fully showcase the achievements of Shanxi's professional towns in multiple fields, such as equipment manufacturing, characteristic consumer goods, and technological innovation.

The ceremony kicked off after participating leaders and guests toured the professional town exhibition halls. Meanwhile, the expo’s online cloud exhibition hall and official website were launched simultaneously, providing an online channel for global audiences.
Under the theme "professional towns make the future better", the expo is held in a "1+1+N+1" model, which includes one launch ceremony, one investment promotion conference, numerous (N) supporting events, and one product exhibition.

The expo is divided into five exhibition zones, including an investment and trade zone, an equipment manufacturing zone, a featured outside-of-Shanxi enterprises zone, a technology-industry-finance integration zone, and a zone for the professional towns of 11 cities.

The expo focuses on improving the professional operation and the exhibition experience. It has established an investment and trade platform for Shanxi’s characteristic professional towns, invited professional platforms related to professional towns to participate, and organized a variety of on-site activities to greatly increase participation.
The hosting of this expo will further advance the high-quality development of professional towns in Shanxi and serve as a powerful engine for cultivating new quality productive forces and building a modernized industrial system with Shanxi's distinctive characteristics.
