Shanxi province is showcasing its innovation and breakthroughs in industrial transformation within its intelligent manufacturing section at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) which is taking place from Sept 17 to 21.

In the intelligent manufacturing zone, a window-cleaning robot developed by Shanxi Jiashida Robot Technology Co glides quietly and efficiently across glass surfaces with a powerful 5,500Pa suction and smart edge detection technology. "Our products are exported to 56 countries and regions, receiving excellent feedback in the ASEAN market. We plan to establish after-sales service locations locally," said Kong Dezheng, the company's public relations manager.

At the Shanxi Tianbao Group Co's booth, a staff member demonstrates their wind power flange products. The company specializes in advanced forging techniques, producing items for sectors such as petrochemicals, wind energy, engineering machinery, ultra-high voltage, and aerospace. To date, it has secured 146 patents, including 80 for inventions and seven international patents.

The booth of Sinotruk Datong Gear Co is bustling with visitors. The company's gearboxes, which are integral to vehicles from Dongfeng Motor and Foton Auman, are popular in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. "Our products serve over 150 countries and regions worldwide," said Zhu Dongliang, the company's sales director.

"Shanxi and ASEAN have complementary industries and significant cooperation potential," said a representative of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce. "We aim to use this expo as a starting point to connect 'Shanxi Intelligence' with 'ASEAN Speed', sharing the benefits of the free trade area."
