Linfen shines at 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo

A delegation comprising nine cultural enterprises from Linfen, Shanxi province, showcased over 500 intangible cultural heritage and cultural creative products at the 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo which was held from Sept 20 to 22.

The variety of exhibits in the Linfen exhibition area offered a feast for the eyes, each piece deeply embedded with the region's unique heritage. These displays, blending Linfen's distinctive local characteristics with vibrant modern appeal, attracted many domestic and international visitors.

Linfen's participation aims to showcase high-quality cultural products, share latest achievements in cultural industry development, promote key investment projects, and facilitate exchanges and sales for local cultural enterprises.

The city also hopes to learn from Dunhuang's experience in cultural creativity, historical preservation and transmission, and the integration of culture and tourism, exploring new pathways for mutual cultural exchange and collaboration and better presenting Linfen's culture to the world.

Linfen has attached great importance to developing the cultural industry in recent years, striving to explore, develop, and promote local cultural resources while fostering new quality productive forces in culture.

Linfen's cultural industry has demonstrated much vitality, with a solid industrial foundation, thriving diversity, accelerated cultural-tourism integration, and strong policy support – all contributing to its sustained momentum.

During the expo, Linfen released its cultural industry investment promotion handbook, introducing 45 cultural projects with a total investment of 9.84 billion yuan (about $1.38 billion) and proposed financing of 5.79 billion yuan.
