Shanxi province in North China held a series of activities in Yangquan city recently to celebrate the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival.

Themed "Celebrating Farmers' Harvests, Enjoying a Better Life", the event showcased the province's achievements in agricultural and rural development, contributing to rural revitalization.

The festival featured vibrant folk cultural performances, where enthusiastic dancers and resonant drumming expressed farmers' joy of harvest and their aspirations for a better life. Ge Lirong, one of the performers, said, "I feel incredibly proud to express our joy for the harvest in such an important festival. I wish a favorable weather for farming and continued bountiful harvests every year!"

The festival hosted 50 exhibitors of selenium-rich premium agricultural products in Shanxi, including processed goods, condiments, fish, meat, eggs, and tea. Additionally, 12 handicraft and intangible cultural heritage enterprises, along with 12 financial and insurance companies, participated.

Shi Yunzhang, head of Shanxi Jiuzhouxiang Agricultural Development Co, expressed gratitude for the platform, saying that "this festival allows us to showcase Shanxi's selenium-rich products. Our quality millet is something we hope more people will enjoy."

In addition to the exhibits, the festival featured a series of cultural activities, notably an art exhibition themed on agriculture and rural development.

The festival also employed technology through the "Cloud Farming" digital twin platform, using VR to recreate ancient farming scenes, breathing new life into ancient agricultural wisdom.
