Shanxi women's team wins gold in trampoline at 15th National Games

On Oct 11, the Shanxi women's team claimed the gold medal in the Trampoline Team Finals at the 15th National Games with a total score of 167.81 points, marking Shanxi's first gold in the competitive events of this year's Games.

The trampoline competition, spanning three days, featured men's and women's team and individual categories. A total of 118 athletes from 13 teams across the nation competed. During the preliminary rounds on Oct 10, the Shanxi women's team delivered a strong performance, advancing to the finals with a commanding lead of 13.41 points over the second-place Zhejiang team.

In the finals, Yao Jinqi set the tone for Shanxi team with a clean and precise routine, earning 54.75 points. Rising star Zhang Yu followed with a composed performance, scoring 52.82 points. Hu Yicheng, the third competitor, dazzled with a routine boasting a difficulty score of 14.9, achieving an impressive 57.01 points. In the decisive moment, Zhang Xinxin secured 56.05 points, ensuring the team's victory.

"The entire team performed at its best today, and the overall performance was outstanding," said Hu Yicheng, who achieved the team's highest score. "The competition was tough, and the result is a testament to our teamwork."

Meanwhile, in the men's team event, Shanxi's team finished eighth. Hu Yicheng, Zhang Xinxin, Zhang Yu, and male athlete Zhou Jie also competed in the individual finals on Oct 12.
