Shanxi province has been hosting a series of technology roadshows and matchmaking events focused on key sectors such as low-carbon energy transition, advanced manufacturing upgrades, frontier technology applications, and modern agricultural development.

Top universities, research institutes, and local technology departments from within and outside the province have actively contributed, providing strong technological support to the province's development.

At the 2025 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum, the province highlighted 18 major technological achievements from institutions like Tsinghua University and the Institute of Coal Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. These innovations included clean fossil fuel utilization, multi-energy integration, and hydrogen and energy storage. The forum fostered several partnership agreements, establishing an innovation ecosystem that integrates technological research, results commercialization, and industry incubation.

At the Institute of Coal Chemistry’s event, the province presented cutting-edge technologies across energy, materials, and chemical industries. These advancements, with broad application prospects, are paving the way for national-level research achievements to be applied in Shanxi.

On Sept 24, Shanxi University hosted its tech achievement release and matchmaking event. The university selected six mature projects with strong market potential for presentation. Nearly 40 representatives from investment firms, service agencies, and tech companies engaged in in-depth discussions with the presenting teams, effectively connecting research teams with industry and capital.

Shanxi is using technology roadshows to deliver a range of technologically mature and market-ready innovations. By adopting a collaborative model of "government + universities + research institutions + enterprises + finance", the province effectively promotes the deep integration of innovation, industry, capital, and talent.
