The "Yangquan Selenium Products" Promotion and Sales Conference was held in Beijing on Oct 31. The event aimed to boost the brand visibility of "Yangquan Selenium Products" through product display, brand promotion, and targeted matchmaking.

This event seeks to establish a cooperative platform for production and sales between Yangquan and markets in Beijing and surrounding regions, with the goal of promoting the regional public brand on a national level.

During the conference, Yangquan presented its selenium-enriched agricultural products. Scholars, experts, and business representatives provided insights into the development of the selenium industry. Yangquan also entered into cooperation agreements with six organizations, including Beijing Gongdefu Catering Co and the Beijing Taizhou Business Association.

Approximately two-thirds of Yangquan's arable land is rich in selenium, with average concentrations 2.1 times higher than the national average. In 2021, with strong support from the municipal government, Yangquan prioritized selenium-enriched agriculture as a key strategic focus for "special" and "premium" agricultural development, initiating an aggressive push into the selenium industry.

Over the past five years, Yangquan has developed a comprehensive industrial chain comprising research institutes, production sites, industrial parks, and sales terminals. With 56 authorized enterprises under the "Yangquan Selenium Products" brand and 150 certified selenium-rich products, the city's selenium agriculture sector is expected to see a 30 percent increase in total output value this year.
