Shanxi holds 2025 'Tour Shanxi, Learn History' Study Program

The 2025 "Tour Shanxi, Learn History" Study Program, organized by the Shanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, took place from Oct 27 to 31 in Changzhi and Jincheng.

Ten international students from four universities in Shanxi, hailing from Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Turkmenistan, and Yemen, participated in the event.

The students visited important historical and cultural sites, including the Taihang Memorial Museum of the Eighth Route Army, Jincheng Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and ancient landmarks like Faxing Temple, Wufeng Tower, and Yuhuang Temple. They also explored Shanxi's unique cultural attractions, such as the Shangdang Bayi Kiln and Jincheng Situ Town.

The students gained insights into the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), experienced the beauty of ancient Chinese architecture, and engaged in hands-on activities related to national intangible cultural heritage, such as painting at the Bayi Kiln.

They were impressed by the dynamic development of Chinese cities and expressed that the study tour was rich in content and diverse in form, combining learning with enjoyment. They gained a deeper, more tangible understanding of China's long history, profound culture, and modern achievements.
