The China (Shanxi)–Austria (Vienna) Economic and Trade Cooperation Matchmaking Conference was held on Nov 3 in Vienna, Austria, marking a significant step towards strengthening pragmatic economic collaboration between the two regions.
This event aimed to deepen resource sharing and steadily advance bilateral trade and economic relations, injecting new momentum into making Shanxi a new inland hub for China's opening-up.
During the conference's promotional segment, Shanxi's Zhendong Pharmaceutical, Jinbo Biopharmaceutical, and NANOLATTIX each announced their international cooperation needs. At the same time, Austrian companies Adlr Partners and Virostone introduced their digital healthcare and virus-inactivation technologies.
The Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed cooperation agreements with the Austrian Chinese Business Association, and Shanxi Huanghe Traditional Chinese Medicine Co signed a cooperation agreement with Virostone GmbH. Adlr Partners' founder, Denada Bare Rauch, expressed keen interest in investing in Shanxi and in facilitating connections with financial capital.
Before the conference, the Shanxi delegation met with representatives of the Austrian Chinese Business Association, reaching preliminary agreements on future collaborations in pharmaceutical technology, energy project introductions, and cultural exchanges.
"Shanxi is a cradle of Chinese civilization and a fertile ground for transformative development," said Georg Zanger, chairman of the Austrian Chinese Business Association. "The Chamber will leverage its network of 20,000 members to provide Shanxi enterprises with comprehensive legal, financial, and channel services for entering Central and Eastern Europe, while encouraging more Austrian companies to establish a presence in Shanxi."
