The China (Shanxi) - France (Hauts-de-France) Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference took place in the Hauts-de-France region, France, on Nov 4. The conference aimed to foster practical cooperation between Shanxi and France in sectors such as new energy vehicles, wine, green technology, and cultural tourism.

During the promotional segment, representatives from Shanxi Chateau Rongzi Co and Shanxi Juyi Industry Group Co, among others, highlighted their strengths and invited global partners to engage in international cooperation. French companies such as Vinci Energies and Omega Energy Solutions Center also presented their offerings.

The conference featured a signing ceremony, where Shanxi Wanteng Xinde New Energy Co and Omega Energy Solutions Center signed a cooperation agreement. Additionally, Shanxi Chateau Rongzi Co reached a cooperation intention with the Leboucq Foundation's French Liaison Office, focusing on technical exchanges and market expansion.

In recent years, economic and trade exchanges between Shanxi and France have grown increasingly robust. From January to June, the total import and export volume reached 454.3 million yuan ($63.8 million), marking an 86.5 percent year-on-year increase. Shanxi has also established sister city relationships with five French cities, strengthening cultural, educational, and technological exchanges.

This conference provided an efficient platform for cooperation between Shanxi and the Hauts-de-France region. Companies from both sides identified numerous opportunities for collaboration in new energy, technology, culture, and agricultural product processing, enabling more high-quality Shanxi products and technologies to enter the international market.
