The "Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road" event, organized by Shanxi province, traveled through Vienna, Austria, and Lille and Paris, France, from Nov 2 to 6. This three-city tour across two countries showcased Shanxi's brands on the European stage, injecting fresh momentum into Shanxi-Europe economic and trade cooperation.

Six pharmaceutical companies from Shanxi showcased their innovations in biomedicine, precision medicine, and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine at BIO-Europe 2025, a global biopharma partnering event, in Vienna from Nov 3 to 5.

During the economic and trade cooperation meeting in Vienna, the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed cooperation agreements with the Austrian Chinese Business Association, and Shanxi Huanghe Traditional Chinese Medicine Co reached a supply agreement with Virostone GmbH for traditional Chinese medicine materials.

On Nov 4, the China (Shanxi)-France (Hauts-de-France) Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held in Lille, bringing together government officials, business association representatives, and enterprise leaders to discuss collaboration. "Shanxi's energy transition aligns well with the green development strategy of Hauts-de-France. We welcome Shanxi enterprises to invest here," said the deputy mayor of Marcq-en-Barœul.

Beyond economic achievements, cultural exchanges between Shanxi and Europe deepened, with the delegation establishing long-term connections with the Austrian Chinese Business Association and the Hauts-de-France regional government. Shanxi’s cooperation with its five sister cities in France was also further cemented.

Shanxi will continue to use the "Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road" event as a bridge to deepen economic and cultural exchanges globally, bringing more "Made in Shanxi" and "Shanxi Brands" to the world.
