Shanxi province hosted a Low-Altitude Economy Investment Promotion Conference in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, coinciding with the opening of the 2025 AERO Asia on Nov 26.

The event brought together representatives from Shanxi's government departments, and investment promotion officials from Linfen, Datong, and Changzhi, along with government and business leaders, industry elites, and experts from the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region to explore new opportunities for collaboration in the low-altitude economy.

Various cities and industrial parks from Shanxi showcased unique scenarios in low-altitude tourism, aviation emergency rescue, and "low-altitude + urban-rural governance". Four Shanxi companies presented high-quality projects, including a drone supervision platform and a low-altitude safety intelligence foundation, focusing on key areas like low-altitude transportation and smart equipment.

Wu Liang, deputy director of the Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau, highlighted Shanxi's role as a national general aviation demonstration province. The province has established a comprehensive policy support system, a 5 billion yuan ($706.35 million) special development fund, 14 runway-type general airports, 21 aviation flight camps, and over 260 temporary helicopter landing sites. Low-altitude aviation in Shanxi supports various sectors including tourism, emergency response, and agriculture, with the number of general aviation operators ranking eighth nationwide.

Shanxi aims to further expand a variety of application scenarios and promote the deep integration of low-altitude equipment manufacturing with new technologies. After the conference, provincial and municipal investment officials engaged in face-to-face discussions with potential investors, with many companies expressing interest in investment and collaboration.
