Executives from more than 10 key enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), spanning sectors such as culture and tourism, technology, and healthcare and wellness, visited Jinzhong city in Shanxi province to explore opportunities for culture and tourism cooperation from Jan 11 to 13.

During the visit, the GBA delegation toured some culture and tourism projects in Lingshi, Pingyao, Qixian, and Shouyang counties of Jinzhong, gaining an in-depth understanding of their culture and tourism resources, development potential, and market prospects.

These included the Xiamen Ancient Fortress, Pingyaoyuan · Yiran Amusement Park, Jiugou Scenic Area, and the healthcare and wellness project at Longqi Lake Scenic Area. 

At a subsequent symposium, relevant departments and culture and tourism enterprises of Jinzhong discussed the areas in which they could cooperate and future directions, potential investment projects, and collaboration models with the GBA delegation. The delegation clarified its goals and intentions and offered useful suggestions for upgrading and innovating Jinzhong's culture and tourism industry.

Jinzhong has been busy lately building the city's culture and tourism brand under the theme "Visit Jinzhong in Pleasure". In 2025, the city ranked among the top in Shanxi province in both total tourist arrivals and tourism revenue. Meanwhile, the GBA boasts strong advantages in capital, innovative concepts, and platforms.

Moving forward, the two sides will further deepen their cooperation in the culture and tourism sector by linking Jinzhong's distinctive resources with the GBA's capital, markets, and platforms, promoting more high-quality projects to take root and deliver tangible results.
