The Shanxi Development and Reform Commission has announced the "Interim Measures for the Management of Special Investment in the High-Quality Development of Cultural and Tourism Integration".

This initiative aims to boost investment in cultural tourism integration projects through direct government investment for public projects and investment subsidies for private enterprises. Each project can receive up to 10 million yuan ($1.46 million).

The special funds focus on supporting the protection and enhancement of historic and cultural cities, districts, and traditional villages. This includes the restoration of historic and traditional buildings, environmental improvements, and the development of supporting infrastructure and public services.

Additionally, the funds will aid in the construction of tourism infrastructure in high-grade tourist attractions, such as visitor services, tourism transportation, and smart management facilities. Furthermore, the development of high-quality outdoor sports destinations at the provincial level and above will be supported, including the construction of sports and service support facilities.

After completing the necessary procedures, the Shanxi Development and Reform Commission will approve funding applications and issue investment plans. The special funds must be allocated to projects that fall within the support scope, have completed preliminary procedures, and are ready to start construction. Once the investment plan is issued, adjustments are not permitted without authorization.
