Datong city in Shanxi province is fast-tracking the development of its Micro Drama Film and Television Industrial Park, aiming to become a premier "micro drama city", with construction teams working diligently to build sound stages, realistic sets, and supporting facilities.

The park's eight filming zones are taking shape, with over 80 different scenes already partitioned and equipped with props and lighting. More than 30 shooting areas, featuring diverse family and social life settings, are nearly complete, with full completion expected by the end of March.

Spanning over 70 mu (4.67 hectares), the micro-short drama park is set to provide a comprehensive suite of services for micro-short drama production, from filming to post-production, using the city's unique scenic spots, such as the Ancient City of Datong and the Yungang Grottoes, to create authentic filming locations.

The park will also support a wide range of genres, from modern to historical dramas, establishing an integrated micro-short drama industry ecosystem that will empower creative teams from across the country to bring their visions to life.
