The Shanxi delegation to the National People's Congress (NPC) held a meeting on March 4 to discuss and formulate key motions to be submitted to the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress.

The delegation plans to focus on eight key areas: establishing Shanxi as a major national base for energy and raw materials; supporting the creation of the "China Hydrogen Valley" in Shanxi; backing the development of national advanced manufacturing clusters in key industries; promoting the revitalization of Shanxi's old revolutionary areas; integrating Shanxi's modern coal chemical projects into the national "15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30)"; establishing Shanxi as a significant base for new energy metal materials; implementing the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda construction and craftsmanship research project; and supporting Shanxi's integration into the national unified computing power network.

The meeting emphasized that motions should align closely with local development plans, focusing on regional characteristics and development needs to enhance their relevance and effectiveness. It also stressed the importance of adhering to a people-centered development philosophy, actively listening to public concerns, and addressing pressing issues with dedication and empathy.
