Across Shanxi province, efforts are underway to strategically develop the pet economy, turning it into a new driver of high-quality growth in the modern service sector. The pet economy has emerged as a new growth point, stimulating consumption and revitalizing the service industry. 

Leading the charge is Taiyuan, the provincial capital, which has taken proactive steps in this burgeoning sector. In late March, the Taiyuan Bureau of Commerce organized a symposium on pet economy development. During the meeting, government and business representatives jointly assessed the industry's current state and explored pathways to high-quality growth.

Cities such as Datong and Changzhi are also hosting various pet industry exchange activities periodically. These events aim to address business concerns and regulate industry practices. Organizations like the Shanxi Pet Association are playing a pivotal role by fostering resource sharing among enterprises and guiding the industry toward greater standardization and regulation.

Pet industry enterprises across the province are making targeted efforts to meet diverse consumer demands. Local brand "Banke Pet Pals" has assembled a professional team, including pet nutritionists and medical experts, to develop premium products tailored for pet-owning families in Shanxi.

An official from the Taiyuan Bureau of Commerce noted that the pet economy is entering a golden period of development, transitioning from pet food sales to high-end and service-oriented sectors. Taiyuan aims to build a pet-friendly urban ecosystem, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the trade and commerce sector.
