Shanxi products expand global reach at Canton Fair

Shanxi province's leading export companies and their products – including daily-use ceramics, kitchenware, and glass crafts – took center stage at the second session of the 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) from April 23 to 27, showcasing Shanxi's intelligent manufacturing and helping expand its global market.

The 139th Canton Fair is being held in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5 and is divided into three sessions. The second session featured 98 companies across 212 booths, including 50 brand booths, 160 general booths, and two fashion accessory specialty booths.

Ceramics are a standout in Shanxi's export portfolio. In the daily-use ceramics section, companies from Yingxian, Huairen, and Pingding prominently displayed their products, attracting a steady stream of international buyers.

Among them, JACOTTA, a high-end ceramics brand of Shanxi Jiakun Ceramics Co, has established trademarks in the United States, Russia, Belarus, and other countries. "During the fair, we got a group of potential clients with strong interest in collaboration from Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Central Asia," said Wang Bo, a representative of Jiakun Ceramics.

Glass crafts also stand out as one of Shanxi's "star" export products. The glass crafts section featured over 150 booths, with major players such as Dahua Glass and Beigao Home Goods highlighting Shanxi's aesthetic appeal and attracting many international buyers.

The third phase of the fair, scheduled for May 1 to 5, will focus on toys, maternity and baby products, fashion, home textiles, and stationery, with 35 Shanxi companies participating.
