The Shanxi Provincial Department of Finance has allocated 80.52 billion yuan ($11.85 billion) this year to efforts related to transformative development, integrated education, science, and talent development, urban-rural integration, comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society, and the improvement of public welfare.

A total of 21.57 billion yuan has been allocated to transformative development. This funding will primarily support the development of a modern industrial system, the growth of the private economy, the creation of an inland opening-up hub, and the enhancement of safety capabilities in key sectors.

For integrated education, science, and talent development, 7.57 billion yuan has been earmarked to support scientific research and the advancement of higher education, basic education, and vocational education.

Urban-rural integration has received a significant allocation of 26.51 billion yuan. This funding will support comprehensive rural vitalization, the development of "special" and "superior" agriculture, and the enhancement of rural governance and cultural development. Notably, 14.97 billion yuan will be invested in urbanization projects centered around counties.

To facilitate the comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society, 8.29 billion yuan has been allocated to support environmental management, environmental protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River basin, and water management initiatives.

A total of 16.57 billion yuan has been designated for improving public welfare. This includes support for the development of healthcare services, the improvement of the social security system, and the implementation of key livelihood projects by the provincial government.
