Shanxi mine rescue team honored at intl competition

The Shanxi Huayang team, one of three mine rescue teams representing China, made its debut on the 14th International Mine Rescue Competition, which concluded in Zambia on May 6, demonstrating precise operations and solid expertise to secure third place in the technician category.

The competition is a high-level event that showcases mine rescue skills from around the world and fosters international exchange. This year's event featured 22 teams from nine countries competing across six categories, with awards given to the top three in each category.

The Chinese teams achieved remarkable success, winning three major awards. In addition to Shanxi Huayang's achievement, the Shandong Energy Team won first place in the comprehensive skills category and third place in the fire rescue category. 

As a top-tier team, Shanxi Huayang has participated in over 4,100 rescue operations. Their participation in this competition provided a thorough assessment of their international, professional, and practical capabilities, while also showcasing the skill and spirit of Chinese mine rescuers.
