The Shanxi Summer Cultural Tourism Promotion Season has kicked off in the Ancient County Town in Taiyuan, unveiling 10 premium summer wellness travel routes. This initiative aims to position Shanxi as a summer wellness destination and support the high-quality development of the province's cultural tourism industry.

The promotion season highlights Shanxi's cool climate, wellness travel, ancient architecture, intangible cultural heritage, and rural homestays, strengthening the core brand of "Wellness Shanxi, Summer Shanxi". It introduces 24 hidden-gem towns and cultural tourism destinations to meet the growing demands for cultural experiences and emotional healing.

To fully invigorate the summer cultural tourism market, Shanxi's 11 cities have integrated premium cultural tourism resources to launch a comprehensive summer cultural tourism activity plan, seven wellness travel experiences, and a curated selection of boutique homestays. 

In tandem, various summer cultural tourism activities have been introduced, including "Concert Tour across Shanxi", the 2026 Intangible Cultural Heritage Wheaten Food Festival, and immersive ancient-themed games, all aimed at boosting summer consumption.
