The China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group anticipates transporting 18.91 million passengers during Taiyuan's summer railway transport season, which commenced on July 1, averaging 305,000 passengers daily and marking a 5.8 percent increase from the previous year.

Tourism, family visits, and educational trips are the primary drivers of this year's summer travel demand. Key travel routes include journeys within Shanxi province and to popular destinations such as Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Qingdao. The peak travel period is expected to last from late July to mid-to-late August.

To maximize transport capacity, Taiyuan Bureau Group has introduced 59 temporary passenger trains, including 39 high-speed trains and 20 regular-speed trains. 

The new high-speed services D4225/8 and D4227/6 will now operate between Taiyuannan Railway Station (Yunchengbei Railway Station) and Yinchuan, creating a swift Shanxi-Ningxia passenger corridor and supporting cultural and tourism integration along the Yellow River.

The D4184/1 and D4182/3 high-speed services between Taiyuannan Railway Station and Qingdaobei Railway Station, and the D4216/7 and D4218/5 services between Houmaxi and Yantai will also enhance the rail network connecting Shanxi and Shandong, catering to summer tourism demand.

Taiyuan Bureau Group has also added eight pairs of high-speed trains to Beijing and Xi'an, and eight pairs between cities within Shanxi such as Taiyuan, Datong, Changzhi, Yuncheng, and Xinzhou, offering passengers diverse and convenient travel options this summer.
