The 25th IHF Women's Junior (U20) World Championship concluded on July 5 in Jinzhong, Shanxi province, with Germany claiming the championship title after a gripping 60-minute showdown, Denmark securing the runner-up position, and France taking third place.

A closing ceremony and award presentation followed the final match, with Mansourou Aremou, vice-president of the International Handball Federation (IHF), and Feng Xiaolei, mayor of Jinzhong, presenting gold medals and the championship trophy to the triumphant German team.

Since the event's commencement on June 24, Jinzhong has been swept up in handball fever, with enthusiastic crowds filling the stadium. The Chinese team's matches, in particular, ignited widespread excitement, with cheers and applause resonating throughout the arena.

Jinzhong spared no effort to showcase its charm, organizing tours of the old city of Yuci for international teams. Its ancient architecture captivated guests, while cultural performances delighted young athletes, who joined in the singing and dancing, snapping photos, and shopping for souvenirs.

The city also arranged cultural exploration activities for IHF officials in the ancient city of Pingyao, where visitors explored historic courtyards, delved into Shanxi merchant culture, savored local delicacies, and shopped in modern malls, experiencing the city's unique allure.

Through this international event, Jinzhong integrated sports organization with city promotion, balancing competition services with urban experiences, and offering heartfelt hospitality to guests from around the world.
