Shanxi province has launched the 2026 "AI+" Industry Innovation Consortium application process to accelerate the integration of AI with the real economy and support the transformation of resource-based economic development.

The application focuses on key sectors such as energy, manufacturing, culture and tourism, agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation, and micro dramas. It encourages leading industry enterprises, large model companies, and academic institutions to form alliances and build a collaborative framework that integrates data, computing power, large models, and scenarios to advance AI applications from experimental phases to production.

The consortia should concentrate on specific industrial application scenarios, addressing innovation needs, industry expectations, and urgent enterprise demands through "AI+" joint innovation. The application scenarios should target long-standing bottlenecks hindering industry growth and offer significant potential for AI-driven empowerment and transformative effects on industry development. 

The scenarios should also have the potential for widespread industry adoption, promising significant economic and social benefits upon large-scale implementation, thus driving industrial transformation and upgrading.

Each consortium must cover the entire AI industry chain, comprising at least four entities, including at least one leading provincial enterprise, one large model-related company, and one academic or research institution, with participation from computing power providers, data companies, and AI integrators encouraged. All consortium members must maintain good credit standing and be free of records of dishonesty or inclusion in social credit "blacklists".
