Under the guidance of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Shanxi province's first batch of 30 geographical indication (GI) products has been unveiled on the Belt and Road IP Cooperation Portal, introducing them to countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The showcased products span various fields, including agricultural goods, traditional Chinese medicinal materials, and handicrafts. The release provides comprehensive information on each product, covering quality characteristics, production environment, cultural history, and industrial development, significantly enhancing their global recognition and expanding their presence in BRI overseas markets.

The Belt and Road IP Cooperation Portal, spearheaded by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, is an official platform for international intellectual property cooperation among BRI countries and regions. The portal regularly updates the latest developments in BRI intellectual property cooperation and has become a crucial window for policy exchange, information sharing, and showcasing cooperative achievements between China and BRI countries and regions.

Shanxi plans to use this portal to further deepen national-level international cooperation. The goal is to promote more high-quality Shanxi GI products on the global stage, effectively transforming brand advantages into industrial economic benefits, and injecting robust new momentum into the province's high-quality transformation and development.
