The 2026 "Discovering Shanxi's Ancient Chinese Architecture – A Visual Journey through Cultural Heritage" event is held from July 15 to 20, inviting photographers, painters, and foreign experts to explore cities such as Taiyuan, Jinzhong, and Datong to gain firsthand insights into China's traditional architectural techniques and cultural history, and to share Shanxi's stories globally through short videos, photography, and paintings.
The visual journey focuses on several iconic cultural heritage sites in Shanxi, including the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, Xuankong Temple, and Yungang Grottoes, among other world heritage sites and nationally protected monuments, showcasing Shanxi's rich architectural resources and profound cultural heritage.
