The 2026 National Youth Canoe U-Series League will commence on July 25 at the Taiyuan Fenhe River Park in Shanxi province. Recognized as the highest standard and most professional youth canoe competition in China, the league attracts young paddlers from across the nation to compete in this aquatic extravaganza.

As the third stop of the 2026 league, the Taiyuan event will gather nearly 200 young athletes from over 20 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chengdu, and Hangzhou. The competition will feature professional and amateur categories, catering to age groups from 8 to 18 years old.

Participants will compete in single and double kayaking, single canoeing, and ocean kayaking. In addition, unique activities such as family tandem canoeing and K-boat skill certification tests will be offered, blending professional competition with public engagement and family interaction.

This national-level youth event serves as a platform for identifying and nurturing water sports talent across the country. It plays a crucial role in supplying skilled athletes to professional teams, ensuring a steady flow of talent for the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games.

By hosting this event, Taiyuan aims to enhance its image as a dynamic waterfront sports city and further advance the integrated development of local "sports + culture and tourism".
