One of the selected projects, titled “The Restoration of the Brick Pagoda at Foguang Temple (Rear Mountain Area)", utilizes digital twin technology to empower the entire process of cultural relic protection, offering a comprehensive digital solution for the preservation and restoration of immovable cultural heritage.

Another selected project, titled "Digital Display and Dissemination of Shanxi's Ancient Architecture", builds an integrated digital display system for cultural heritage encompassing protection, exhibition, dissemination, and education through a series of traveling exhibitions like the "Yongle Palace Protection and Inheritance Special Exhibition”.

Another notable inclusion is the "'Black Myth: Wukong' Meets Shanxi – Ancient Architecture Digital Art Exhibition" project. This initiative is among the few globally to digitally recreate and physically replicate Shanxi's ancient architecture from game scenes, merging "gaming and ancient architecture" in a unique digital exhibition.

The casebook, compiled by the WIC Specialized Committee on Cultural Heritage Digitalization, was curated from nearly 200 submissions worldwide. After multiple rounds of expert reviews, 45 outstanding practices from 13 countries and regions were selected, providing valuable practical references for global efforts in cultural heritage protection, archaeology, exhibition, and utilization.
