Shanxi, Thailand promote economic and cultural exchange

The Shanxi-Thailand Economic and Cultural Exchange was held in Bangkok on July 23, as part of the "Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road" initiative. The event aimed to enhance multi-sector economic and trade collaboration between Shanxi and Thailand through promotional activities, meetings, and networking sessions.

Representatives from governmental departments and enterprises on both sides shared insights into their respective industry advantages. The event also showcased captivating performances featuring Shanxi's traditional culture, including the classic Jin Opera and traditional noodle-making techniques, earning enthusiastic applause from attendees.

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, highlighted the immense potential for growth in tourism and agriculture between the two regions. She expressed hope that the exchange will facilitate the entry of outstanding enterprises and products into each other's markets. 

She also suggested that both parties engage in in-depth collaboration in areas such as cultural tourism, wellness retreats, and heritage preservation, with a focus on jointly developing premium travel routes.

Li Huiyi, president of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, emphasized Shanxi's commitment to assisting entrepreneurs from both regions in accessing quality resources and expanding cooperation. 

The Shanxi economic delegation also visited the Asian International Trade and Investment Association, the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce to promote resource sharing, industry development, and the integration of culture and tourism between Shanxi and Thailand.
