The 2026 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum (TELC), held from Sept 4 to 5 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, gathered domestic and international guests to discuss the low-carbon energy transition, fostering practical cooperation and yielding fruitful outcomes.

During the forum, participants praised Shanxi's achievements in meeting the "dual carbon" goals, with the province's progress in intelligent coal mine construction leading the nation, and green electricity trading expanding further. 

Sub-forums, including the UK Guest Country of Honor Forum and the Digital Energy Development Forum, shared global practices and cutting-edge technological achievements, further clarifying paths toward global carbon neutrality.

Additionally, several low-carbon energy and State-owned enterprise technological innovation achievements were unveiled, covering fields such as green mining, new energy storage, and low-carbon new materials. 

Multiple industrial cooperation projects were finalized on-site, with the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce signing cooperation memorandums with international business associations, expanding international collaboration opportunities.

The concurrent energy industry expo featured a power-computing coordination exhibition area, showcasing achievements in joint power-computing dispatch, energy big data, and intelligent control in coal mines, promoting deep integration of the digital and energy economies.

Moving forward, Shanxi will continue to expand its energy advantages, deepen technological innovation, and collaborate with global partners to advance low-carbon energy development and accelerate the transformation of its resource-based economy.
