As the National Day holiday approaches, Shanxi province's major scenic spots are gearing up to meet holiday demand by launching a series of cultural and tourism activities to attract tourists to Shanxi for a festive and culturally-rich journey.

At the Hongtong Dahuaishu Ancestor Memorial Garden, visitors can embark on an immersive "Root-Seeking Journey" that connects the scenic area with nearby streets, running day and night throughout the holiday. 

From Oct 1 to 6, starting at 7:30 pm each evening, a professional performance team will deliver a 90-minute show on the street, extending the festive joy into the night. Additionally, on-site performances of Dahuaishu Migration will be staged throughout the day.

Xinzhou Ancient City will feature a variety of activities over the holiday. The North Square will host a Cornfield Music Party, offering three autumn concerts over six days, each showcasing different musical styles. 

The Autumn Harvest Market will offer specialty coffee, seasonal desserts, and handmade crafts, while an immersive interactive activity, popular among young people, will allow visitors to complete challenges and collect stamps to redeem Xinzhou Ancient City consumption vouchers.

Yunqiushan Mountain Scenic Area will focus on traditional rituals, traditional crafts, thematic performances, and nostalgic games. The area will invite craftsman to make a National Day-themed traditional huamo (steamed buns with elaborate decorations) tower, with free huamo distributed to visitors. 

A parade showcasing dances from China's 56 ethnic groups will also be held every morning at the Lyudi Square, while nostalgic games will be recreated at the Shenxian Valley and Taerpo Area, inviting visitors of all ages to participate.
