"The report presented at the 13th Congress of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China calls for further opening-up and sets out clear priorities for our efforts to promote international trade," said Jiao Yufeng, Party secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Shanxi) on Oct 21.

As a key organization promoting Shanxi's international trade ties, CCPIT Shanxi plans to expand opportunities for local businesses to connect with overseas partners. Jiao said the organization would strengthen its support for industrial modernization, business development and international economic cooperation.

He highlighted the importance of creating more efficient international economic and trade cooperation platforms. Internationally, this includes organizing the "Shanxi Brands on the Silk Road" series. Domestically, efforts involve participating in the China International Supply Chain Expo and other specialized international exhibitions, as well as hosting the "Shanxi Brands China Tour" series.

Additionally, Jiao stressed the need to establish smoother international communication channels, strengthen ties with domestic and international business associations, collaborate with provincial government offices abroad, and effectively utilize bilateral business cooperation mechanisms.

Jiang Lin, director of Taiyuan Customs, was inspired by the report. He said that Taiyuan Customs will strive to contribute to the province's development goals, continuously optimize the port business environment, promote customs clearance facilitation reforms, and upgrade goods trade to enhance Shanxi's foreign trade.
