Shanxi province is set to showcase its robust transformation and high-quality development through a meticulously curated pavilion at the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, Nov 5-10. 

Featuring 24 premium enterprises, the Shanxi pavilion is divided into four thematic sections: Energy Transition, Industrial Upgrading, Diversified Development, and Performing Arts (Interactive Experience).

The Energy Transition Section highlights Shanxi's evolution from a traditional energy powerhouse to a comprehensive energy base. It will showcase cutting-edge technologies and major projects in intelligent and green coal mining, clean and efficient coal power utilization, coalbed methane exploration, wind and solar energy, and hydrogen storage.

In the Industrial Upgrading Section, visitors will encounter advanced technologies, new products, and emerging industries in high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, electronic information, modern pharmaceuticals, general aviation, and the digital economy. This section underscores Shanxi’s achievements in strengthening traditional industries and fostering new, future-oriented sectors.

The Diversified Development Section focuses on the province's success in specialty agriculture, cultural tourism, and non-coal mineral resources, illustrating Shanxi's robust capabilities in promoting diversified development tailored to local conditions.

The Performing Arts Section offers a dynamic space for interactive experiences, featuring live demonstrations of national and provincial intangible cultural heritage and traditional crafts. This vibrant cultural expression reflects Shanxi's rich heritage, transformative progress, and open, inclusive spirit.

During the expo, Shanxi will host three major provincial events: the "Green Electricity Park" Promotion and Matchmaking Conference, the 2026 Shanxi-Shanghai Private Enterprise Exchange, and the 8th Shanxi Merchants Conference (Shanghai). Additionally, 16 supplementary activities, including investment negotiations, partnership signings, and study tours, are planned to enhance Shanxi's international collaboration.
