On April 28, the newly upgraded "Zhong Bao'er" installation at the intersection of Zhonglou Street in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, was immediately surrounded by tourists eager to take photos.

In preparation for the May Day holiday, Zhonglou Street underwent a three-day revitalization starting April 28, centered around the original mascot "Zhong Bao'er", to create a national-trend cultural tourism experience integrating art, markets, and performances.

During the holiday, the entire district will feature multiple "Zhong Bao'er"-themed artistic photo spots, blending Shanxi culture with traditional brick-and-tile architecture.

Meanwhile, immersive cultural activities will take place on Zhonglou Street throughout the holiday: from May 1 to 3, the classical Chinese dance "Moon Shadow Spring" and the immersive musical drama "Flowing Bell Tower" will debut.

The performances will showcase the elegance of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) through water-sleeve dancers, while the musical drama will use 3D audiovisual effects to immerse audiences in a narrative intertwining ancient and modern cultural themes.

Additionally, during May Day holiday, Zhonglou Street will host promotions across retail and dining outlets, blending historical charm with modern trends to spark new energy.
