Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, launched six themed routes for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which will last from May 31 to June 2 this year.

Route 1: Jinci Temple-Tianlong Mountain-Mengshan Mountain-Taishan Mountain-Longshan Mountain‌

Visit Jinci Temple's architectural treasures and join various cultural activities, learn about the legendary flood-control hero Tai Tai, and dress in hanfu at Mengshan Mountain as you participate in a series of immersive activities.

Route 2: Taiyuan Northern Qi Murals Museum-Jin Merchant Museum-Juewei Mountain Museum-Jinyang Ancient City Archaeology Museum‌

Craft bamboo dragon boats at the Northern Qi Murals Museum, explore bronze artifacts at the Jin Merchant Museum, and make sachets or colorful bracelets for blessings at Juewei Mountain Museum.

‌Route 3: Taiyuan Ancient County-Jinyangli-Liuxiang-Zhonglou Street and Shipin Street‌

Stroll in hanfu through the ancient county at night, enjoy the Dreams of Jinyang performance, and savor local delicacies at bustling food hubs.

Route 4: Fenhe River-Fenhe River Dragon Boat Race-Fenhe River Sunset Cruise-Night Tour‌ at Fenhe River

Relax by Fenhe River's banks, cheer for dragon boat races, engage in water sports, and cruise under starlight on a boat.

Route 5: Laotaiyuan Restaurant-Linxiangzhai-Shanxi Guild Hall-Ren Yili‌

Indulge in century-old Jin cuisine, watch performances, and join traditional food tasting events.

Route 6: Taiyuan Botanical Garden-Rice Field Park-Yuquan Mountain Forest Park-Taiyuan Fantawild‌

Enjoy clown shows, DIY markets, water adventures, and fireworks displays with your family and friends.
