Parks in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, have continued to enjoy their peak since welcoming over 2.14 million visits during the Spring Festival holiday, with the Taiyuan Temple Fair at Taiyuan Zoo becoming a citywide sensation.
The parks' layouts and green spaces, along with a well-developed system of specialized parks, continue to meet the recreational needs of residents.
The city's park and green space development has focused on optimizing layouts, diversifying park types, and enhancing functionality. New parks, including Hexie Park, Shuangta Park, and Jinyangjie Park, have been built, along with green plaza spaces in high-traffic areas such as railway stations.
Taiyuan has already established 701 parks and green spaces, including 99 municipal parks, 27 ecological parks, 342 neighborhood parks, 122 concentrated green spaces, and 111 county-level parks.
The city will continue to expand park and green space construction, aligning with its goal of becoming a National Ecological Garden City and Park City, ensuring that the benefits of urban greening reach every individual.
